Many lurkers and fraudsters are trying to access client’s bank account thru Internet. Using emails and some malicious software, they try to hook up every details and information of the customer. Note for yourself; don’t entertain any emails or links that give you privileges or upgrades on your bank account. Mostly, these kind of malicious acts tend to play the customer’s mind with confident promos and other services that a customer will be interested in.
If someone knows your PIN or password immediately block your access in your online account also, contact your bank as soon as possible. Always check your account daily or every other day. So you can track any adjustment and examine your bank statement. If you notice any suspicious in your portfolio, contact your bank immediately. Always update you virus scanner, just to make sure there are no threats or incoming malicious viruses on your PC. Scan all drives especially your multimedia drives like CD’s, flash drives, etc. Sometimes, theses viruses tend to fish out information in your PC. Save and print out the result when having transactions thru online banking. So you have a hard copy file or evidence when you generate your report. And for future investigation. Lastly, double check any entry when accessing online. Contact your bank for any misleading action or if you have any unknown suspicious encounters with regards to the Bank’s website.
